Site Information
Shengjing Mountain Paragliding Site is located in Dongbao District, Jingmen City, covering an area of 357,000 square meters, with two take-offs (ASL 180m and 360m respectively) and two training slopes in multiple wind directions. The site has complete infrastructure, built with flight buildings, hangars, paragliding landing sites, and parking lots, suitable for paragliding, paramotor and other types of aviation sports, is currently China's largest comprehensive aviation flight site.
The Flight Building is the landmark of the base and is a paragliding-themed building. It is paragliding-shaped, with a total construction area of 7,021 square meters. There are flight command center, science popularization center, lecture hall, multi-functional restaurant, café and other functional facilities. A paragliding museum is also planned in the future flight building.
Shengjing Mountain Paragliding Site has held many aviation sports events, such as the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia Chinese paragliding national team departure ceremony, the national paragliding league finals for three consecutive years, and the provincial paragliding events in Hubei Province. In June 2019, the Shengjing Mountain Paragliding Championship Week was held, and 37 paragliding world champions from 16 countries were invited to compete, and the participating athletes gave high praise to the construction of the paragliding base.
